Happy New Year !
"Happy New Year!" That greeting will be said and heard for at least the first couple of weeks as a new year gets under way. The beginning of spring is a logical time to start a new year. After all, it is the season of rebirth, of planting new crops, and of blossoming. January 1, on the other hand, has no astronomical nor agricultural significance .Originally observed on March 15 in the old Roman Calender, New Year's Day first came to be fixed in January 1 , 153 BC, when the two Roman consuls, after whom - in the Roman calendar - years were named and numbered, began to be chosen on that date, for military reasons . Anyway New Year is New Year , whether it be on March , January or .. It should be a time for celebration of love , of life , of friendship . Best wishes to all of our family, friends and readers for a happy, healthy, and hopefully more peaceful, New Year !
